Mérida and the Yucatán now have Rubí Hernández and Mildred Torres as newly certified AMO® Trainers to help families and congregations. The AMO Program training is not just about learning how to use a curriculum but, also about breaking down non-biblical, non-Christian ideas about education, art, reasoning, imagination, stewardship, self-government, and much more. Rubí and Mildred have worked hard preparing themselves for this important work and we congratulate them!
Pastor Aldo Chalé, Rubí’s husband,(see photo), also completed the course and plays an important role leading the Church in practicing wholistic biblical Christian education in homes, churches and schools. Aldo and Pastor Amos Cahuich head up San Pablo Presbyterian Seminary of Mérida as Academic Dean and President, respectively. They both help share the vision of biblical Christian worldview and AMO Program.
Please, hold all of them in your prayers. We are blessed by them and look forward to continuing our walk together.
Also, please pray for the third and final group to be certified as AMO Trainers the first week of April. Pray for Liliana, Judith, Susie, Betzabé, and Pablo as they prepare for their practicum. Pray also for Francelia and Chris and the new AMO Trainers here in Tabasco as we finish training in Comalcalco, Tabasco, next week and then on to Puebla to function as evaluators of the final practicum mentioned above.
We plan to be in Texas later in April and welcome opportunities to visit churches and leaders, anywhere, who would like to learn more and get involved in transforming their communities.
Thank you, for your prayers!…Chris and Francelia
